APMA will significantly increase the public's awareness and understanding of the full scope of podiatric medicine and surgery and will further the recognition of APMA members as the physicians of choice to provide such care.

APMA will be the leading voice and major catalyst in influencing public and private policy affecting the future of podiatric medicine and surgery.
Membership Involvement:
APMA will work to ensure the future vitality of the field of podiatric medicine and surgery and the Association through a heightened commitment to students and young professionals and an overall diversification of membership and leadership.
Organization:
APMA will evolve its organization and governance and leverage its collaborative relationships, enhancing APMA's role as the unifying force for the field.
Career Development:
APMA will play a leadership role in career development and facilitate the direction of an integrated education agenda for the podiatric medical profession.
