Dr. Crystal Holmes

Summary of Expertise

Dr. Crystal Holmes is a fresh face in today’s world of podiatry. She graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2002, and already her professional career and media resume have taken flight. Currently, she is a clinical instructor at the University of Michigan Medical School, serving in the Metabolism, Endocrinology and Diabetes Division. Dr. Holmes serves as an excellent source, especially on the topics of diabetes and women’s foot health issues.

Education

Dr. Holmes earned her undergraduate degree at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. She and her husband Mario reside in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Experience with News Media

As a member of APMA’s Public Education and Information Committee, Dr. Holmes understands the important role the news media plays in educating the public about foot health. She was featured in APMA’s media tour with editors from some of the nation’s most prestigious fashion, beauty and health magazines. In addition to being seasoned in print interviews, she also has experience with broadcast media.
