Dr. Richard Eisner

American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) member Dr. Richard Eisner has practiced podiatric medicine for 25 years. He currently practices privately in Salem, MA, and is a staff member of several local hospitals. As a podiatric physician, he treats all foot pathologies and focuses on the conservative approach to podiatric medicine. In particular, Dr. Eisner focuses on treatment of biomechanical problems such as heel pain and tendinitis. He also enjoys evaluating patients with unusual problems, which he likes to call "diagnostic challenges." Dr. Eisner is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine (ABPOPPM). Since 1994, he has been a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. He is also recognized as a specialists in the prevention and treatment of diabetic foot wounds by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. In addition, he has served in multiple capacities with the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Society, including president from 2001 to 2004. He also currently serves on APMA’s Public Education and Information Committee and chairs APMA’s Internet and Computer Technology Committee. Recently, he became certified by the American Heart Association as an advanced cardiac life support provider.
