Team APMA 5K Run/Walk

Don't miss this fun opportunity to see the nation's most well-known landmarks! This year, Team APMA 5K runs through the nation's capital as we celebrate 14 years of supporting the APMA Educational Foundation. Sweat, sightsee, and be social while supporting the future of podiatric medicine. 

Thanks to the generosity of APMA members and friends, the foundation awards more than 200 scholarships annually to podiatric medical students, advancing the growth and stability of podiatric medicine. Proceeds from your registration will support student financial aid through the foundation. Scholarships are awarded to eligible third-, and fourth-year podiatric medical students at the accredited colleges of podiatric medicine.

Since its inception, more than 1,800 runners and walkers have participated in the APMA 5K Run/Walk raising more than $200,000. Show your support as we celebrate this milestone!

HOW DOES THE RUN WORK?
1) Register for the event. You can run or walk the 5K onsite at The National, or "Sleep-In" from home or your hotel room. The first 100 race participants, will receive a limited edition Team APMA 5K race t-shirt. 

2) If you wish to run in-person at The National in Washington D.C., come prepared with comfortable shoes! If you wish to "Sleep-In", grab your most comfortable pillow and blanket. 

3) Whether you run, walk, jog, or sleep, what matters most is that you are supporting the APMA Educational Foundation and the future of podiatry.

4) Celebrate your accomplishment by posting a picture on social media in your race gear with the hashtag  #TeamAPMA.
