Personal Bio: Hello! My name is Vilay (pronounced Vi-lye) and thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I am a third year resident at a reconstructive rearfoot and ankle certified podiatric residency in Margate, FL. I was born in Nashville and raised in Smyrna, TN with a majority of my family still living mostly in Elizabethtown, KY. I am looking to move back home and closer to family to practice and to give back to the local community through philanthropy, education, and volunteering. I strive to provide the most comprehensive foot and ankle care to my patients, whether in a hospital-based position or in private practice. I am interested in any job opportunities in areas surrounding Nashville and southern Kentucky. I am not only interested in practicing medicine and performing necessary surgeries, but also educating the community about various foot and ankle pathologies, especially those related to diabetes and peripheral vascular disease. I am also passionate about giving back to the profession whether it is through giving presentations, contributing to academia or volunteering my time at conferences and events. I hope to be involved with and/or start a residency program in the future. Please feel free to call or email me for a CV and letters of recommendation. I look forward to hearing from you!
