Job Type: Full-Time Associate

Summary: • Assess the condition of a patient’s feet, ankles, or lower legs by reviewing his or her medical history, listening to the patient’s concerns, and performing a physical examination • Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower-leg problems through physical exams, x rays, medical laboratory tests, and other methods • Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments, such as prescribing special shoe inserts (orthotics) to improve a patient’s mobility • Perform foot and ankle surgeries, such as removing bone spurs and correcting foot and ankle deformities • Give advice and instruction on foot and ankle care and on general wellness techniques • Prescribe medications • Refer patients to other physicians or specialists if they detect larger health problems, such as diabetes • Treat patient with wound care • Laser treatment for fungal nails • Diabetic Foot Care • Fall Risk Assessment and Interventions • Pressure Alleviation Recommendations • Venous, Pressure and Traumatic Wounds and Ulcers • Heel, Ankle and Foot Pain • Bunions and Hammer Toes • Provide individual consultations to patients concerning continued treatment of disorders and preventive foot care. • Diagnose foot ailments such as tumors, ulcers, fractures, skin or nail diseases, and congenital or acquired deformity such as weak feet and foot imbalance. • Use innovative methods to treat conditions such as corns, calluses, bunions, heel spurs, ingrown toenails, arch problems, shortened tendons, cysts, bone disorders, and abscesses. • Design/provide Custom orthotics, plaster casts, and strappings to correct deformities.provide ankle foot orthotics for patients that have disabilities and for fall prevention for elderly patient. • Design flexible casting for immobilization of foot and ankle fractures, sprains, or other injuries. • Correct walking patterns and balance, and promote the overall ability to move about more efficiently and comfortably. • Refer patients to other physicians when symptoms observed in the feet indicate disorders, such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, or kidney disease.
