Summary: Samaritan Health Services is seeking a Foot and Ankle Podiatrist to join an established team of clinicians on the Oregon Coast. Located in beautiful Newport, Oregon, Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital is a critical access 25 bed hospital serving Newport and smaller surrounding communities. In step with our commitment to excellence, a brand-new hospital is currently under construction and will be completed in 2019! Our award-winning health system provides exceptional primary care and a range of specialty services throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast. The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Job Specifics • Well-established orthopedic team • Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm • 20-30 patients per day, 34 patient hours • 10-15 call shifts per month • One OR day per week Requirements • Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Podiatrist Surgeon with 2-3 year residency experience trained in foot and ankle. • ACLS/BCLS Certified/ Must be able to get ankle privileges in Oregon • Candidate should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented. We are looking for a great team player! • Must be willing to take foot/ankle trauma/infectious call • Comfortable with diabetic wound care, amputations and limb salvage • experience preferred, not looking at 2022 graduates at this time
