Summary: Physician – Podiatrist VA Boston Healthcare System The Department of Surgery at the V.A. Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) is seeking candidates for a Podiatrist at the VABHS. Podiatry Section covers three major campuses and one community clinic, has a high outpatient volume and elective and acute surgical cases at two campuses. Trainees from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Podiatry Residency Program rotate at VABHS with the VA Podiatry Section which is an integral part of the Surgical training program. The position reports to the Chief, Podiatry Section and is primarily located at VABHS Boston Campus. The work schedule is full time Monday through Friday, 8:AM to 4:30PM. VABHS is a three-campus tertiary care medical center affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) and provides a full range of patient-care services with nationally recognized education and research activities. VABHS features one of the largest research programs in VA. This position requires US citizenship, a DPM degree, an unrestricted license in any state, and board qualification or certification in forefoot are required. Board qualification or certification in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle, along with training in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and complex diabetic limb salvage are highly desirable.
