Your feet are excellent barometers for your overall health. Healthy feet keep you moving and active. They are quite literally your foundation. In this section, learn more about APMA Seal-approved and accepted products, proper foot care, common foot and ankle conditions, and how your podiatrist can help keep you and your feet healthy.
APMA is the only organization lobbying for podiatrists and their patients on Capitol Hill. As the voice of podiatric medicine to your legislators and regulators, APMA is active on a variety of critical issues affecting podiatry and the entire health-care system.
Do you have what it takes to represent your school at the second annual Podiatry School Student Quiz Bowl? One representative from each of the nine colleges of podiatric medicine will compete to bring glory to his or her school—and win cash, too.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 14, during the APMA 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting (The National) in Washington, DC. The competition is open to all rising fourth-year students (i.e., members of the class of 2019) who are student members of APMA in good standing. Contestants will have their travel expenses covered and receive two nights at The National’s host hotel, the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. (View the official rules of the event.)
Prizes
Quiz Bowl Champion—$1,000 and your name inscribed on the official Podiatry School Student Quiz Bowl trophy
First runner-up—$500
Second runner-up—$250
The National is the must-attend meeting for every podiatrist—and podiatrist-in-training. Students attending The National will learn from renowned experts and network with leaders in the field. Additionally, students have a dedicated track on Saturday afternoon that, among other topics, will discuss the transition from school to residency.
If you are interested in representing your school, contact your APMSA chapter president.
