opioid crisis

The APMA Legislative Committee has identified the Non-Opioids Prevent Addiction in the Nation (NOPAIN) Act, HR 3259/S 586, as a bill of interest for our members. The legislation seeks to curb America’s opioid epidemic at the point of origin. The NOPAIN Act is a novel federal legislative approach designed to encourage the utilization of non-opioid pain management approaches for patients. The legislation would update Medicare reimbursement policy to remove unnecessary barriers that limit patient and provider access to non-opioid options. In doing so, the bill aims to provide patients and providers with choices in how they manage pain. Visit to add your name to this new effort to raise awareness with Congress about non-opioid pain management.
