Podiatric medical students stand at the beginning of a life-long journey of education and training. Let APMA help you take the first steps in your future career.
Help us welcome the class of 2024!
With classes resuming at our podiatric medical colleges in the coming weeks, APMA wants to ensure the incoming class of first-year students are aware of APMA’s resources as they navigate what will likely be a school year unlike any other. We’re looking for you to help us! We’d like to share a short video featuring a current student, welcoming the new students and explaining why APMA is important. This video will be shared with all first-year students during APMA’s fall orientation presentations, as well as on APMA’s social media channels, and via email as well.
If you wish to participate, please send a short video (under a minute—it can be shot on your phone, tablet, computer, etc.) introducing yourself, welcoming incoming students, and sharing a little bit of information about APMA and our student resources. Your videos can be sent via a file-sharing platform or directly to me at email@example.com. The deadline to submit is August 5—not only will the winning video be featured, but the winner will also receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
Wednesday, August 12 • 8:00–9:00 p.m. EDT

Being able to make an accurate diagnosis of an ankle fracture can be challenging for a variety of reasons. Part of the difficulty arises because of the complex anatomy of the area and the rotational mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of the different injuries. APMA’s Lauge-Hansen Ankle Fractures iBook provides a new, innovative approach to this complex topic. Interactive modules allow the reader to view the relationships between the bones and ligaments of the ankle, providing a more comprehensive understanding of ankle fractures. This APMA iBook is available to download for FREE for all Apple users, in the Apple bookstore.
APMA offers a scholarship for third- and fourth-year students. The application period starts in the fall and runs through early April each year.
