APHA Get Ready Day, Falls Prevention Awareness Day

August 7, 2017

In an ongoing effort to encourage members to engage in public health initiatives, APMA invites you to start planning how you will participate in two exciting events: the American Public Health Association's (APHA) Get Ready Day on September 19; and the 10th annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day on September 22.

APHA's Get Ready campaign helps Americans prepare for all disasters and hazards, including infectious disease, natural disasters, and other emergencies. Visit APHA.org today for free event resources and information on how you can participate.

The National Council on Aging will host its annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day on September 22. This year’s theme is “10 Years Standing Together to Prevent Falls,” and the official social media hashtag is #FPAD2017.
