Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University
Nathan Clyde
Nathan Clyde grew up in the relatively small town of Logan, UT (which also happens to be the hometown of APMA Past President David Edwards, DPM), where he graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. In addition to studying economics in college, he was able to learn about health care by working as a certified nursing assistant and later learned about pharmacology, bioengineering, and research by working as a technician in an antiviral research lab. Although he enjoyed learning about economic theory in class and participating in research projects in the lab, he came to know that his true passion was rooted in caring for and managing the health of others.
Clyde’s wife worked as a medical assistant, and just before their wedding, she switched from working in family practice to working for a local podiatrist, Daniel Huff, DPM, in Providence, UT. His wife later invited Clyde to shadow Dr. Huff, and he discovered that the field of podiatry had everything he was looking for.
He now attends the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine. He and his wife Amanda and have two beautiful daughters, Alix and Eleanor, and a golden retriever named Winston. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family or outdoors, where he enjoys trail running, mountain biking, and hiking.

Max Morales
Max Morales is a fourth-year student at Barry University. He graduated Florida International University with a bachelor's degree in Biology. During his undergraduate studies, he injured his right foot in a 5K run, as a result, learned about podiatry. Morales calls the experience "the best injury of my life."
California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University
Juniper Yue
Juniper Yue (she/her) is a fourth-year podiatric medical student at CSPM. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles. She attended University of California, Berkeley, where she completed a double major in Philosophy and Molecular and Cell Biology. During her gap years, she worked as an EMT and a rideshare driver. She currently lives with her partner of 10 years, as well as her fluffy black cat. When she’s not studying, she likes to play chess, explore new restaurants, and hike amongst the redwoods. She strongly believes that Black Trans Lives Matter.
Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine
Erich Berberich, Class of 2022
Erich Berberich grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. He attended Youngstown State University, earning a BS in biology and working toward an MS in biology. It was there that he took an interest in functional anatomical aspects of rotator cuff tendinopathy.
At Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, Berberich is often found in the anatomy lab, where he enjoys assisting with dissection and tutoring in the afternoons. He has remained the treasurer for the Class of 2022 since their first year.
Berberich used to be a competitive freestyle skier, but now his time on the slopes is all for leisure. However, you may still catch a glimpse of his competitive side in friendly backyard or household games (and perhaps at the Quiz Bowl)!
New York College of Podiatric Medicine
Lina Dobronevsky
Lina Dobronevsky has been elected as the American Podiatric Medical Students' Association (APMSA) Class of 2022 delegate for NYCPM. She was born and raised in the Ukraine and moved to New York with her family when she was 14. As an avid tennis player, Dobronevsky discovered the field of podiatry at the tennis center. There, she found her mentor, Arthur Gudeon, DPM, who inspired her to pursue a career in podiatry. As a graduate of Baruch College and having earned her post bac from Queens and Hunter College, Dobronevsky was shocked to discover how little exposure podiatry had in such a large education system in New York. She aspires to change that through her role as an APMSA delegate. Outside of school, Dobronevsky has a strong support system in her husband and their two children. This past Thanksgiving she had the delight of watching her six-year-old daughter as a dancer in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She is fluent in Russian and Hebrew. She also has a bearded pet dragon named Spike who is sometimes her study buddy. If given the opportunity, Dobronevsky would love to treat the magical feet of world-renowned ballerina Misty Copeland.

Timothy Cheung, PhD
Dr. Cheung is a seventh-year DPM–PhD dual degree student at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. After earning his PhD in Cell Biology & Anatomy in three years, Dr. Cheung has recently re-entered the podiatric medical curriculum and transitioned into externships. Dr. Cheung is excited to engage with leaders in the field at The National and to participate in the APMA Student Quiz Bowl!
Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine
Aaron Rathsam
Aaron Rathsam is a fourth-year student at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He was born and raised in Lancaster, PA, and studied Biology at Elizabethtown College while playing soccer. Rathsam decided to pursue a career in podiatry because of the wide diversity of pathologies and treatment options encountered daily, which many times allows for the immediate improvement in patients’ conditions. Podiatric medicine also aligns with his personal interests in surgery, sports medicine, and limb salvage. At TUSPM, he has served as the president of SHDHAS, the vice president of AAPSM, the event coordinator for APHA, a tutor, and a student mentor for PrePodiatryLife. He hopes to use his passion for medicine to encourage the next generation of podiatrists and make a difference in the lives of patients.

Anthony Wright
Anthony Wright grew up in San Diego and has been married to his beautiful high school sweetheart for eight years. They have two awesome kids! Outside of school, his passions include cooking, as he was a chef before school, and sports. Whether playing pick-up, coaching youth soccer, or watching the NBA finals, you can always find Wright somehow tuned into sports. He is the first in his family to pursue postgraduate training and is ready to set a great example for his kids!
