APMA Educational Foundation Announces PICA Distinguished Scholar Award Recipients

The APMA Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the PICA Distinguished Scholar Award. One student from each of the nine colleges of podiatric medicine was selected for the prestigious $500 award. The winners were chosen from among the 160 2021–22 APMA Educational Foundation student scholarship recipients. Recipients were chosen based on academic excellence, vision for the future of podiatric medicine and surgery, relationships with peers, recommendations, and financial need.

The foundation extends its congratulations to the following students:

Yahya Ayesh, Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science

Neil Bernard, Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine

Nathan Clyde, Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University

Alex Dang, Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine

Ksenja Llazar, New York College of Podiatric Medicine

Daniel Lowe, Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery

Shalvi Prasad, California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University

Julia Tolin, Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine
