APMA and the APMA Educational Foundation are pleased to announce Andrew Attia, California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University Class of 2024, as the winner of the 2022 APMA-PICA full-tuition scholarship. The APMA Education Foundation Scholarship Committee selected Attia to receive this award based on his academic excellence, community service, professionalism, and vision for the future of podiatry. Congratulations to Attia on his achievement!

One student from each of the nine accredited schools of podiatric medicine was nominated by their school. Nominees demonstrated financial need, academic excellence, community service, research involvement, and peer support. All nine of these students are being recognized with scholarships. Congratulations to Whitney Branham (Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University, Class of 2024), first finalist and recipient of a $10,000 scholarship from the APMA Educational Foundation, and Chanelle Mariano (Western University College of Podiatric Medicine, Class of 2024), second runner-up and recipient of $5,000 from the foundation.

APMA would like to thank PICA for its generous support and commitment to podiatric medicine, and for making this award possible for a second year. We look forward to these nine students changing the field of podiatry and the communities around them for the better.
