Last week, APMA submitted comments to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) regarding its National Plan for Health Workforce Well-Being. APMA's Public Health and Preventive Podiatric Medicine Committee is prioritizing well-being. The committee discussed NAM’s proposed plan at its recent meeting and originated several important points for NAM’s consideration related to residency culture, resilience and mental health resources, reducing administrative burdens, and allowing providers to practice at the top of their training/education/licensure.

Members are encouraged to take full advantage of APMA's suite of physician well-being resources at www.apma.org/wellbeing.
