The APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund is the only national funding resource devoted to students at the colleges of podiatric medicine. With a mission to strengthen and expand the field of podiatric medicine, the Foundation provides critical scholarships while boosting nationwide awareness of foot and ankle health. The APMA Educational Foundation awards scholarships to qualified students enrolled at the 11 schools of podiatric medicine across the country. You must meet all of the following requirements:

The National is the premier event for continuing education and networking. Podiatrists gather each year to learn about the latest techniques, equipment, and treatments available to serve their patients. Registration for The National is complimentary for students and residents. If you would like a chance to win one of the ten travel scholarships available to students and residents, submit a video telling us why you want to attend along with your application below.

Winners Announced for the 39th Annual APMWA Student Writing Competition
The American Podiatric Medical Writers Association (APMWA) has selected the winners of its 39th Annual Student Writing Competition. Darrah Speis, a third-year student at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, earned first place for her compelling paper titled "Show Me the Money – How the Internet Fuels the Podiatry Student Recruitment Crisis, and What We Can Do About It." In recognition of her achievement, Ms. Speis will receive a $1,000 honorarium, generously provided through a special endowment by Dr. and Mrs. Steven Berlin to the APMA Educational Foundation.
Second place was awarded to Rachel Young, a second-year student at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, for her thought-provoking paper, "The Ground of Being: Phenomenological Reflections on Podiatry." Ms. Young will receive a $750 honorarium in recognition of her work.
Bethany Robinson, a third-year student at the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University, received third place for her insightful paper, "Approaching Conversations About Body Weight with Patients." She will be awarded a $500 honorarium.
