At the conclusion of this seminar, our audience will be able to:
- Define Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity (PCFD) and understand the current terminology and classification
- Perform a comprehensive clinical examination of the foot and correlate physical examination findings with appropriate weight-bearing radiographic findings
- Recognize the three-dimensional planes of deformity involved in PCFD and understand their biomechanical significance
- Discuss the indications, principles, and surgical treatment options for flexible Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity, including procedures that address each component of the deformity
- Differentiate causes of posterior heel pain
- Define homonid evolutionary trends that have resulted in the current structure of the human foot
- Understand the History of Immunizations
- Understand the importance of Vaccines in preventing diseases
- Briefly: Why the Vaccine schedule is the way it is
- Be able to identify the dominant plane or planes in a pediatric acquired pes plano valgus
- Recognize a pediatric patient that exhibits habitual toe walking.
- Understand the relationship between ankle equinus and idiopathic toe walking
- Develop a treatment plan for a child that is determined to be an habitual (idiopathic) toe walker

- Describe incisional approaches for posterior heel pain
- Gain knowledge about the treatment of open fractures
- Gain knowledge about surgical treatment options
- Gain knowledge in common foot and ankle fractures and their treatment
