Effective April 1, HCPCS J1020, J1030, and J1040 have been deleted from the HCPCS code set, which is managed by CMS. A new code has replaced these deleted codes.
On April 25, all seven Part B MACs in the country released identical Proposed LCDs and accompanying Proposed LCAs for the use of skin substitutes/CTPs for treating DFUs and VLUs. These are only proposals that are now subject to comment. APMA and its appropriate committees are reviewing these proposals and preparing to submit comments.

Foot and ankle physicians and surgeons witness parallel public health crisis as pandemic continues
APMA is partnering with NextGen Healthcare, Inc., and Darena Solutions to provide expanded options for MIPS reporting and data analytics to podiatrists. After the passage of the VA Provider Equity Act in the 115th Congress resolved podiatrist-access issues in the Veterans Health Administration, APMA is hopeful Congress will take long overdue action to address these issues for Medicaid patients.
