One of APMA’s key priorities, HR 3514, the Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025 (Seniors’ Act), was marked up by the House Ways & Means Committee and passed with unanimous bipartisan support, highlighting the importance of removing delays caused by prior authorization. This major advocacy win for APMA is crucial in passing the bill, which would establish an electronic prior authorization (PA) process in Medicare Advantage (MA) to streamline coverage decisions for medically necessary care.
During the 2026 Legislative Conference, APMA members spoke with lawmakers and their staff about the importance of advancing the legislation. Please head to APMA’s eAdvocacy Page and continue to urge lawmakers to pass the legislation!
