APMA has officially launched its new eAdvocacy Action Center for members, patients and students to engage in grassroots advocacy. The platform empowers APMA members to quickly engage their members of Congress and influence federal health policy. It also provides tools to take action on critical state legislation.
Grassroots advocacy is one of the most effective ways APMA members can show lawmakers the real-world impact of legislation on podiatric physicians and their patients. Through the platform, members can participate in APMA’s current advocacy campaigns including:
Urging lawmakers to pass HR 7905/S 4070, the Diabetes Foot Health Access and Modernization Act, which would modernize outdated Medicare documentation requirements that cause significant delays in care for therapeutic shoes and establish Medicaid coverage parity for podiatrists.
Urge lawmakers to pass HR 8163, the Provider Reimbursement Stability Act, which would modernize Medicare budget neutrality requirements to strengthen long-term payment stability for podiatric physicians.
With the new eAdvocacy Action Center, it is easier than ever for podiatric physicians to engage in APMA’s grassroots advocacy efforts, ensuring their voices are heard. Explore the new eAdvocacy page today and join APMA’s grassroots network in advancing legislative wins for podiatry nationwide!
