Training the Next Generation of Leaders
The 2020 Young Physicians’ Institute (YPI) was held October 3 and 4, and for the first time in YPI history, the event was held virtually!
Thank you for registering for YPI. The event kicks off on Saturday, October 3, at 11 a.m. EDT. Plan to log in at least 15 minutes early to make sure you have no issues accessing the site.
The YPI is hosted on the APMA Online Learning Center. To access the site, go to www.apma.org/onlinelearningcenter. You will use your APMA username and password to log in and access the meeting platform. If you cannot remember your password, use the “Forgot my password” link and a reset message will be sent to your email address.
Once you are in the Online Learning Center, select the “APMA Young Physicians’ Institute” tile. Next, select “APMA Young Physicians’ Institute – Saturday, October 3” toward the bottom of the page. On the next page, click “Get Started.” Click “Register” and the program will stream within this page. Check out the “Resources” link for additional program materials.
The program starts at 11 a.m. ET; we encourage you to log in at least 15 minutes early. Additional information will be provided at the beginning of the program. If you have any issues, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. APMA staff will monitor this inbox throughout the weekend.
Recognizing that one of the key elements of YPI is peer networking and connection, this year’s virtual meeting will include sessions offering the opportunity for peer-to-peer engagement. Discussion topics for the meeting will include marketing your practice amid COVID-19, cultural competency and leadership, contract negotiations, emotional intelligence, a Q&A session with ABFAS and ABPM regarding modifications due to the pandemic, a Q&A session for current podiatric medical students with members of APMA's Young Physician Leadership Panel, and more.
Due to the virtual nature of this year’s meeting, registration will be available to all APMA member young physicians as well as current podiatry students. Please note: ONLY APMA-member young physicians and students can register. If you have any questions, contact APMA Career Development Manager Tiffany Kildale.
APMA gratefully acknowledges the support of PICA as the founding sponsor of the APMA Young Physicians' Program and host of the Young Physicians' Institute, as well as our contributing partners.
