Fall Advocacy Week 2020

During our Fall Advocacy Week, APMA is encouraging all of its members to make sure they are registered to vote and have a voting plan in place for the November 3 elections.

As a physician, your schedule can change at a moment’s notice. Whether you are called in for an emergency surgery, or an unscheduled patient needs immediate care, you know there is always the possibility you will have to cancel or change your plans at the last minute.

This upcoming election is too important to not vote. APMA encourages you to use our resources to confirm your voter registration, find out about local regulations, and make your voting plan. Consider voting early or applying for an absentee ballot if there is a possibility you will not be able to vote in person on November 3.

How to Prepare

  • Visit APMA eAdvocacy and select “Get Out the Vote!” to check your registration.
  • Review local regulations and statutes to learn more about absentee and in-person early voting options in your state.
  • Make your voting plan.

What Else Can I Do?

  • Donate to the APMAPAC to help your association maintain the key relationships that have contributed to several legislative victories in the last few years.
  • Review the list of PAC-supported candidates for this election cycle.
  • Download our sample social media posts and graphics to share on your accounts, or create your own message using the hashtags #advocacymatters, #podiatryvotes, and #myvotingplan.
