It is with sadness that APMA reports the passing of Past President Donald R. Skwor, DPM. Dr. Skwor died suddenly on October 25. He was 88 years old.
Dr. Skwor attended Michigan State University and graduated from what was then the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at the Army hospital at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri before moving to Memphis, TN, where he eventually opened his own practice. He served as president of APMA in 1987.
Dr. Skwor was deeply involved in his church and delivered Meals on Wheels to senior citizens. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, three children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
