HHS Updates Guidance to Provider Relief Funds

May 18, 2020

COVID financial drop concept

HHS released new guidance in the past week addressing continued questions about the provider relief fund general distribution. These updates addressed the following topics, among others:

  • information on how HHS determined the additional payments under the General Distribution;
  • how to return funds if you believe you are not entitled to the monies or you do not agree to the terms and conditions for either one or multiple distributions;
  • if a provider who received more than 2 percent of his or her annual patient revenue in their initial distribution should expect to receive any more funds;
  • whether or not a provider who received two direct payments through the General Distribution has the option to accept one payment and reject the other payment; and
  • information on how the public list of providers who have accepted the funds will be made available, and how often those lists will be updated.

APMA has updated its resource page on the provider relief fund at www.apma.org/ProviderRelief. Members should also directly review HHS’ General Distribution FAQs for updates.
