HHS announced it began distribution of the Phase 3 General Distribution Provider Relief Funds (PRF) Wednesday, December 16. In its announcement, HHS noted that the total funds disbursed was increased from the originally anticipated $20 billion to $24.6 billion. It also noted that “over 35,000 applicants will not receive an additional payment either because they experienced no change in revenues or net expenses attributable to COVID-19, or because they have already received funds that equal or exceed reimbursement of 88 percent of reported losses.”

APMA has checked with our consultants on whether HHS would notify applicants of their application’s approval or denial, and unfortunately there is no indication that HHS has or will. APMA’s best advice at the moment to members is to keep an eye on your direct deposit or mail for a check, and the email associated with your application. As a reminder, any PRF funds recipients must attest to the terms and conditions within 90 days of receiving those funds.

Visit HHS’ PRF resource page for providers for more details on this fund, and APMA’s Provider Relief Fund resource page for detail on all disbursements.
