The APMA House of Delegates convened in person in Washington, DC, on Saturday. Guest speakers addressed the house, bearing greetings from our physician peers and messages of thanks for the work of the house.

American Osteopathic Association
Julieanne P. Sees, DO, Trustee

Dr. Sees addressed the House of Delegates Saturday and noted that many of the goals APMA is pursuing mirror the objectives of the osteopathic association. “At AOA, we want to be representative of the diversity we treat,” she said. She also noted that physician wellness is a significant priority at AOA. “Our altruistic mission is to take care and serve others, but in order to do that, we really need to take care of ourselves as well.”

American Medical Association
Gerald E. Harmon, MD, President

The AMA met the same weekend as APMA’s House of Delegates, but Dr. Harmon sent written greetings to the House of Delegates. Dr. Harmon lauded the efforts of every physician during the COVID-19 pandemic and said, “The pandemic has brought out the very best in our health-care workforce.” He thanked APMA for its work over the past two years, saying, “Your advocacy on behalf of the patients you serve has set the foundation for better days to come.”
