At the 2022 APMA House of Delegates meeting (HOD) in Washington, DC, Legislative Advocacy Committee Chair and Trustee William S. Long, DPM, gave attendees a report on the status of APMA's federal advocacy efforts, noting that forming relationships with your legislators "builds bridges so they can help us in the future."

Dr. Long encouraged delegates to do their part to help gain more cosponsors for the HELLPP Act, stating that encouraging support from more legislators is the only way the legislation can move forward.
