Since the last APMA update on this subject, all seven Part B Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) have removed the guidance that they would be denying claims for amniotic injections for musculoskeletal conditions effective March 16, and recouping payment for claims going back to December 6, 2019. APMA is collaborating with others to determine exactly what the removal of this guidance means for its members.
