If you are MIPS-eligible for 2022 or are unsure about your MIPS status, now would be a good time to check as the deadline to get any of the MIPS exceptions is only a month away (December 31). CMS has just released final eligibility information for 2022, and it only takes a few moments to check your status. Ignoring MIPS could result in a 9-percent reduction to your 2024 Medicare income, and waiting too long to start your MIPS work could make it extremely difficult to reach required minimum point thresholds to avoid the penalties.
