Last week, APMA welcomed well over 1,400 podiatric physicians and surgeons, sponsors, exhibitors, and guests to its Annual Scientific Meeting (The National) in Nashville, TN. The meeting was an outstanding success with excellent lectures, hands-on workshops, a booming exhibit hall, and the engaged community that is a signature of The National.
Ross Taubman, DPM, president and chief medical officer of PICA, offered an inspirational opening address. The meeting played host to the Team APMA 5K Run/Walk to benefit the APMA Educational Foundation, as well as the Sixth Podiatry School Student Quiz Bowl, which saw Treloara Harrisson from New York College of Podiatric Medicine emerge victorious after the first-ever all-female final round. Our oral and poster abstracts showcased the latest foot and ankle science; congratulations to the Abstract Competition winners! Attendees enjoyed networking at standing-room-only receptions including a reception honoring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion heroes, and a happy hour for young physicians and students.
Pre-registration is now open for the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting, August 8–11, 2024, in Washington, DC; visit www.apma.org/thenational2024.
