2023 Performance Year Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances Exceptions

Last week, CMS announced that the Extreme and Uncontrollable Circumstances (EUC) Exceptions will include the COVID-19 waiver as a part of the EUC exceptions available for the 2023 performance year (PY). The 2023 PY EUC application will open in the spring of 2023 (date TBD), and will close at 8 p.m. ET on January 2, 2024. If you believe you have been affected by an EUC (e.g., the PHE triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic), you can apply for this exception whether reporting traditional MIPSMIPS Value Pathways, or the APM Performance Pathway (APP).
