If youre ready to change lives, we want to hear from you.With over 25 years of leading a mobile medical group serving the elder community, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to travel between our onsite clinics throughout the Greater St. Louis Metro area.Responsibilities:?We empower you to provide comprehensive podiatric exams that meet or exceed the standards set forth by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) and your state. Our Podiatrists manage a variety of diseases including but not limited to:Examine patients legs and feet to diagnose diseasesPerform Wound Care managementDiagnose and treat foot problems like skin and nail diseases, and tumorsPrescribe joint pain relief medication and foot orthoses that improve mobilityReview patients medical historyAdvise patients on foot care and general wellness practicesOrder additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds and bone density tests) to form a better diagnosis if necessaryFormulates and/or implements a treatment plan to address deficits and patient/family areas of concern.Provides education/consultation to patient, family and health care teamObtaining complete medical history and writing reportsIn addition to professional responsibilities, the Podiatrist will be part of a team engaging in marketing outreach and growing positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, fellow healthcare practitioners, and community organizations.QUALIFICATIONS:Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of PodiatryState Licensed or will be licensed to practice Podiatry (New Graduates) in the state in which you will be practicing.Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population so that goals are achievedYou must also be proficient with computers, have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR databaseCreate a satisfying journey for the patient through ongoing counseling and supportBe ambitious, motivated, and have a desire to be part of an industry that changes peoples lives dailyWe are interested in speaking with individuals who have a great attitude, along with a strong work ethic, are willing to commit themselves to being the best and are passionate about providing outstanding care in senior communities and long-term care facilities. This position will be at the Assistant or Associate level in the Health Science Clinical series commensurate with experience; salary negotiable.The incumbent will be expected to collaborate in clinical and/or basic research as well as publish subsequent results in peer reviewed journals. Clinical responsibilities will emphasize the area of the foot, including limb salvage, wound care, and reconstructive surgery. The selected individual will also be responsible for and provide an integral role to teach clinically relevant topics for residents as well as medical students and fellows.Associate level applications will have demonstrated involvement in quality research through accepted or published writings in peer reviewed journals and have prior teaching evaluations.Requirements: Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Completed a fully accredited Podiatric residency approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. A valid California Podiatry license will be required as a condition of employment. Demonstrated experience in management of foot problems required. Demonstrated experience in clinical management of foot problems required.
