John Evans, DPM, was honored with the Award of Excellence on Sunday, March 19. Dr. Evans was nominated by Crystal Holmes, DPM, president of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. The award is presented to members in good standing in recognition of outstanding national accomplishments in scientific, professional, or civic endeavors. Nominees must have demonstrated outstanding service to APMA.
Dr. Evans graduated in 1985 from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine). He completed his residency at Highland Center Hospital in Denver. He has served as associate clinical professor at several colleges of podiatric medicine and he is a long-time wound care consultant and residency training instructor, just to name a few ways he contributes to and influences the profession.
