Your feet are excellent barometers for your overall health. Healthy feet keep you moving and active. They are quite literally your foundation. In this section, learn more about APMA Seal-approved and accepted products, proper foot care, common foot and ankle conditions, and how your podiatrist can help keep you and your feet healthy.
APMA is the only organization lobbying for podiatrists and their patients on Capitol Hill. As the voice of podiatric medicine to your legislators and regulators, APMA is active on a variety of critical issues affecting podiatry and the entire health-care system.
It’s officially Foot Health Awareness Month! We hope you will take part in our Today’s Podiatrist Keeps Kids Active campaign and help us educate parents and caregivers about kids’ foot health and the important role podiatrists play in keeping kids active.
The campaign will include social media (both organic and promoted), paid advertising via streaming video services, a nationally distributed press release, video content, and materials for you to use in practice.
Please take the time to visit our campaign website at www.apma.org/KeepKidsActive and check out the campaign tool kit. You’ll find a customizable press release to send to local media, a referral to use with other health-care providers (including some common pediatric conditions you treat), suggested social media posts, and campaign logos. Coming later this month are video content, a tip sheet for websites and patient portals, a special edition of the Footprints patient newsletter, and social media graphics. Please visit often to find new materials.
APMA gratefully acknowledges the American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics for its participation in the campaign. Have questions about the Keep Kids Active campaign? Contact us at communications@apma.org.
