CPME Public Notice: Call for Third-Party Comments on Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine
In accordance with the Council on Podiatric Medical Education’s (CPME or council) procedures, interested individuals or institutions are invited to submit third-party comments with respect to the compliance of the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine with the council’s standards and requirements. Comments are due by August 15 and September 25, respectively.
Draft II Revisions to CPME Publications 320 and 330 Open for Comment
Every six years, CPME conducts a comprehensive review of the standards, requirements, and procedures associated with its evaluation activities. In 2018, the council began revisions on CPME publications 320, Standards and Requirements for Approval of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residencies, and CPME 330, Procedures for Approval of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residencies.
At its April 2022 meeting, the council reviewed the work of the Residency Ad Hoc Advisory Committee and the Blue Ribbon Panel for Milestone Education, and approved Draft II of CPME publications 320 and CPME 330. The revised documents, along with summary documents that provide insight into the suggested revisions, are available on the council’s website. A call for comment period of 60 days has been set for the community of interest. Instructions on submitting comments are available at www.cpme.org/residencyrevisions.
