Today's podiatrist has the necessary education and training to treat all conditions of the foot and ankle and plays a key role in keeping America healthy and mobile while helping combat diabetes and other chronic diseases.
Your feet are excellent barometers for your overall health. Healthy feet keep you moving and active. They are quite literally your foundation. In this section, learn more about APMA Seal-approved and accepted products, proper foot care, common foot and ankle conditions, and how your podiatrist can help keep you and your feet healthy.
APMA is the only organization lobbying for podiatrists and their patients on Capitol Hill. As the voice of podiatric medicine to your legislators and regulators, APMA is active on a variety of critical issues affecting podiatry and the entire health-care system.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Matters
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee works to evaluate and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion perspectives and efforts are incorporated into all aspects of APMA. With that in mind, the committee is providing these resources for the benefit of all APMA members.
APMA DEI Consultant Sharonda Simmons presented the webinar "Implicit Bias" on March 2. The webinar was held at the behest of the 2022 APMA House of Delegates, which requested APMA provide implicit bias training for all delegates and alternates at the 2023 House of Delegates. Due to the condensed schedule of this year's meeting, the webinar was held prior to the event. Note: Due to a technological issue, recording of the webinar started a few minutes into the content. In addition to watching this webinar, review the resources sheet for more information.
