Summary: Rappahannock Foot & Ankle Specialists is a 6-doctor private practice with offices located in Fredericksburg and Stafford, Virginia. We are looking to add a surgically trained podiatrist to our family. Candidates should be board certified or working towards their board certification in foot, reconstructive rear foot/reconstructive ankle surgery. For new graduates, we understand the stress of getting started in a practice setting so we have the option of a mentoring program. In this program you will have progressive shadowing, patient charting and billing as well as exposure to surgery and the post operative course. Our practice treats a full spectrum of foot and ankle pathology including sports medicine, reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot ankle surgery, pediatric reconstructive procedures, diabetic limb salvage and general podiatry. We have physical therapy, ultrasound, shockwave, Swift microwave therapy for skin and in office custom printed 3D orthotics. We are located in the historic town of Fredericksburg, VA with approximately a 50-minute ride south of Washington, DC and 45 minutes north of Richmond. You are not very far from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park, Lake Anna and numerous other State Parks. Day trips to various Atlantic coast beaches such as Virginia Beach, Outer Banks as well as beaches in Maryland and Delaware. Our staff has privileges at 3 area hospitals and 2 surgical centers. The main hospital is a Class II trauma center.
