Summary: Join a growing Orthopaedic private practice! We have an opportunity for a Podiatrist to augment our Foot and Ankle Service. We are looking to hire a skilled Podiatrist for an office-based practice. You will be responsible for evaluating and managing patients with non-operative foot and ankle problems including diabetic and routine foot care. Podiatrist Responsibilities (Non-Operative Foot and Ankle Care): • Consulting with patients in a clinic setting. • Reviewing the patient’s medical history. • Examining a patient’s legs, ankles, and feet to diagnose diseases, illnesses, or injuries. • Ordering and interpreting X-rays. • Ordering MRI, ultrasounds, and bone density tests. • Treating foot and ankle injuries, deformities, and arthritis. • Prescribe medications. • Prescribing orthotics and braces. • Diabetic foot care. • Routine nail and skin care. • Advising patients on proper foot care and therapeutic techniques. • Participate in minor office-based procedures. Podiatrist Requirements: • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine. • Practical experience in a hospital or clinic. • In-depth knowledge of modern surgical and therapeutic treatments. • Knowledge of related medicines and topical treatments. • Familiarity with foot abnormalities and genetic anomalies. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Advanced diagnostic and fine-motor skills. • Knowledge of related physical therapy techniques. • High level of patience and empathy. • Good decision-making skills.
